Start Banyuwangi
•00:00 - 00:30 AM Depart from the Hotel/homestay or Banyuwangi area to Paltuding (starting point of the Ijen hike).
• 01:30 AM Arrive at Paltuding. Briefing from the guide and preparation for the trek.
You will be equipped with a headlamp and gas mask (for safety due to sulfur gas near the crater).
• 02:00 AM Start hiking to the crater with an experienced guide.
• 03:00 AM Reach the summit of Kawah Ijen, enjoy the famous “Blue Flame” phenomenon, visible only at night.
• 05:00 AM Sunrise viewing over the crater lake, observe sulfur mining activities.
• 07:00 AM Descend from the crater.
• 08:30 AM Return to Paltuding and transfer back to the Hotel/homestay Banyuwangi area.

What to Bring:

• Warm clothes (jacket, gloves, hat) as temperatures can drop to 5-10°C.
• Comfortable trekking shoes.
• Snacks or light food for energy during the hike.
• Camera for capturing the stunning views.Additional Notes:

• Check your date, Ijen is closed every Friday in the first week. So, if you go at night between Thursday to Friday, you can't.
• The new rules for hiking Ijen, you have to give the copy of your pasport and medical certificate (kind of doctor's note)
That you are in a good condition or don't have any asmatic problem. Valid health certificate, maximum 3 days from when the letter was made.
• If you don't have any medical certificate's, you can get it from a clinic here. It's around IDR 35.000/person. And for medical certificate's outside the tour package price.

Cancellations

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
