Begin your adventure at Okakambe Stables and set off on a horseback ride through the Swakop River Valley. Choose from a range of ride durations, from 1 hour to a full-day tour.
On the shorter rides, explore the dry Swakop Riverbed, passing through small canyons and the Little Moon Landscape. Ride past the burned mountain, Nuberoffkop, and back into the Swakop River Valley.
For a full-day adventure, start at 9:00 AM and ride for approximately 5-6 hours. Journey through the Swakop River Valley, the Little Moon Landscape, and over to the sand dunes. Follow the old railway track to the colonial horse cemetery, then continue towards the beach.
Enjoy a delicious lunch at a set table on the beach. After lunch, ride along the Swakop Riverbed past the greens of the golf course, where you might spot springbok grazing. Return to Okakambe Stables around 4:00 PM.
With a bit of luck, you might also see jackals and plenty of birdlife along the way.
