Karpu Danda, also known as Krapu Danda, is a peaceful hidden gem above Tangting Village in Kaski. Perched at around 3,085 meters, it offers breathtaking panoramic views of Annapurna II, Annapurna IV, and Mardi Himal—without the crowds of mainstream trails. The name “Krapu,” meaning “very high” in the Gurung language, reflects its dramatic ridge setting. Rich in cultural history, the region is also believed to lie along an ancient Gurung migration route, adding depth to its natural beauty. Our 5-day Karpu Danda trek with an experienced local guide captures this unique blend of scenery, culture, and authenticity, making it an exceptional off-the-beaten-path adventure—perfect in spring, autumn, or winter and suitable for all age groups, from kids to seniors.

Day 1: Kathmandu to Pokhara (7–8 hours)

Begin your journey with a scenic bus ride from Kathmandu to Pokhara. Enjoy views of terraced farms, rivers, and hills as you travel toward Nepal’s most beautiful lakeside city. Upon arrival, your hotel is within walking distance from the bus park. Spend the evening exploring Lakeside.

Day 2: Drive Pokhara to Tangting Village (2.5 hours)

Experience a local village bus ride to Tangting, a traditional Gurung settlement perched on a hillside. Explore the stone-paved alleys, monastery, and panoramic viewpoints that look toward Annapurna and Lamjung Himal.

Day 3: Trek Tangting to Krapu Danda (3,085m) – 4 Hours

Start your morning hike through forest trails and ridge climbs. After 4 hours, reach Krapu Danda, a spectacular viewpoint that feels untouched and serene. Set up camp and enjoy an unforgettable sunset over Annapurna II, Annapurna IV, and Mardi Himal.

Day 4: Sunrise at Krapu Danda, Descend to Tangting, Pokhara, Night Tourist Bus to Kathmandu

Wake up for a magical sunrise where golden light paints the entire Annapurna range. After breakfast, descend back to Tangting, drive to Pokhara, and board a comfortable night bus to Kathmandu. or extend your stay in Pokhara

Day 5: Arrive in Kathmandu – Trek Ends

Reach Kathmandu early in the morning. Your trek officially concludes here, leaving you with lifelong memories of Nepal’s hidden landscapes and warm hospitality.

• This is an off-the-beaten-path trek, so accommodation in Tangting and Karpu Danda is basic local homestays.
• Daily departures available for 2026, and 2027.
• Trek operates in all major seasons: spring, autumn, and winter too.
• Please book at least 2 days in advance for permits and guide arrangements; last-minute bookings may be accepted based on availability.
• Weather in the high ridge area changes quickly—bring warm layers, proper footwear, and rain protection.
• Roads from Pokhara to Tangting are rural and may be bumpy depending on weather and season.
• Expect moderate hiking of 3–4 hours per day; basic fitness is recommended.
• The itinerary may adjust based on weather, trail conditions, or local village festivals.
• Suitable for beginners, but note the night at Karpu Danda is at 3,085m—ascend at a comfortable pace.
• Inform us in advance about dietary needs or allergies, as meals are prepared locally in village homes.
