Description

“Explore quiet Helambu trails with mindful walking, gentle trekking, meditation, and village experiences, surrounded by Himalayan scenery and peaceful mountain culture.”
This mindful trekking retreat starts and ends in Kathmandu, offering a calm and well-paced journey through Nepal’s peaceful Helambu region. On Day 1, you are picked up in Kathmandu and driven to Melamchi Pul, where the trek begins with a gradual uphill walk to Melamchi Ghyang through forests and traditional villages.

Each day follows a gentle routine combining walking, meditation, and rest. The trail continues from Melamchi Ghyang to Tarkeghyang, and onward to Sermathang, with walking hours kept moderate and unhurried. The focus is on mindful hiking, scenic ridge trails, and quiet observation of nature rather than physical challenge.

Accommodation is provided in simple village lodges or homestays with basic facilities. Daily experiences include guided meditation, silent walking, light yoga or stretching, and free time for journaling or village exploration. A dedicated rest day in Sermathang allows cultural immersion and optional monastery visits.

On the final day, the trek descends back to the Melamchi valley, followed by a drive to Kathmandu, where the activity concludes by late afternoon.
