The activity takes place in a local art studio/gallery near Thamel. Please wear comfortable clothing and respect the peaceful environment, as mandala painting is considered a sacred and mindful practice. Photography is usually allowed, but please ask before taking close-up photos of artists at work.
No prior art experience is required. This experience is suitable for solo travelers, couples, families, and small groups. Children are welcome but should be supervised.

The meeting point is in front of Himalayan Java - Tridevi Thamel, located on Tridevi Sadak in the heart of Thamel, Kathmandu (P877+JH7). This café is a well-known landmark in the busy tourist district, making it easy to find. It sits along a lively street filled with shops, hotels, and trekking stores, just a short walk from the main Thamel Chowk area. Look for the prominent Himalayan Java signboard and the glass-front entrance with outdoor seating often visible. Customers should wait directly outside the main entrance of the café. The guide will be standing near the entrance door, holding a sign with the company name or the guest’s name for easy identification. The guide will also be wearing a company badge or branded attire. If you arrive early, you may relax inside the café, but please remain attentive and reachable by phone or messaging app in case the guide needs to contact you.
