Start with a 1.5-hour hands-on wood carving workshop in the Changunarayan area. Under the guidance of local artisans, learn traditional Newari woodcarving techniques, including using chisels to create intricate designs. Create and take home your own small wooden piece, such as a carved infinity knot.
After your workshop, enjoy a traditional Newari meal. Then, head to the Changunarayan Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site considered the oldest temple in Nepal, dating back to the 4th–5th century.
