Duration: 8 days

Description

Explore a less-traveled Langtang highlands via Sherpagaon, passing forests and alpine valleys before a scenic hike to Tserko Ri with wide mountain and glacier views.
This guided trek explores the quieter side of the Langtang region by starting from Sherpagaon, a traditional Tamang village set away from the main road. The route gradually ascends through forested trails, riverside paths, and open alpine valleys, offering a smooth transition from low hills into high mountain terrain. Each day reveals changing landscapes, from dense woodland to wide glacial basins shaped by snow and ice.

As the trail moves deeper into the highlands, the scenery opens around Langtang Village and Kyanjin Gompa, where glaciers and surrounding peaks dominate the horizon. A dedicated day is set aside for the hike to Tserko Ri, the highest viewpoint in the region, providing sweeping panoramic views across Langtang Lirung and nearby glaciers. The return journey descends through peaceful valleys and forests, maintaining a relaxed pace and balanced walking days.

Accommodation is in locally run mountain lodges, allowing travelers to experience the rhythm of Himalayan village life along the way. This trek is ideal for those seeking scenic variety, cultural connection, and a less-crowded Langtang experience without technical difficulty.
