Duration: 16 days

Description

Embark on a thrilling expedition to Mera Peak, the highest trekking peak in the Everest region. Trek through the remote Hinku Valley and enjoy panoramic views of the Himalayas.
Begin your adventure with a scenic mountain flight from Kathmandu or Manthali to Lukla. Trek through Makalu Barun National Park, known for its rich biodiversity, forests, and wildlife. Avoid the crowded Khumbu trail, cross Zatra La Pass, pass traditional villages, and enjoy excellent acclimatization.

After reaching Khare, spend extra days acclimatizing and practicing climbing skills. The summit push includes an overnight stay at Mera High Camp, followed by a guided ascent and descent back to Khare. Then, return to Lukla and fly back to Kathmandu.

Enjoy teahouse lodges during the trek with local and international meals (dal bhat, noodles, soups, limited Western food). Camping is used at higher camps. Facilities become simpler at altitude.

Peak season flights operate via Manthali Airport (Ramechhap) with shared vehicle transfer from Kathmandu. Off-season flights may operate directly from Kathmandu to Lukla. Private transport is available at extra cost.

Good physical fitness, acclimatization days, proper climbing gear, and travel insurance covering helicopter evacuation up to 6000m are required. Licensed guides and porters ensure safety, navigation, and logistics.
