Description
Embark on an 8-day trek to Annapurna Base Camp from Pokhara. Enjoy stunning mountain views, immerse yourself in Nepali culture, and stay in comfortable teahouses along the way.
Begin your trek from the lake city of Pokhara. Wind through terraced fields, rhododendron forests, Gurung and Magar villages, and river valleys before reaching the stunning amphitheater of snow-clad mountains at Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m).
Ideal for both novice and experienced trekkers, this 8-day program is designed to allow gradual altitude gain, comfortable teahouse accommodations, and plenty of time to absorb the breathtaking surroundings. Along the way, be guided by professional, English-speaking trek leaders and supported by porters, making the journey safe and enjoyable.
With thoughtfully arranged transportation, well-paced walking days, and cultural interactions, the Annapurna Base Camp Trek with Alpine Club of Himalaya is an unforgettable introduction to Nepal’s natural and cultural beauty.
During the Annapurna Base Camp Short Trek, meals are served at local teahouses along the trail. These meals are freshly prepared and primarily consist of traditional Nepali dishes, along with a variety of international options to suit diverse tastes. The most common and nourishing meal is Dal Bhat (rice, lentils, vegetables, and pickles), which provides sustained energy for trekking. Other items include pasta, noodles, soups, pancakes, eggs, fried rice, and Tibetan bread. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are provided each day of the trek. Though food variety decreases slightly at higher altitudes, the meals remain hearty, clean, and comforting. Alpine Club of Himalaya ensures hygienic dining arrangements throughout your journey.
