Description
Join an exciting hunt for the Aurora Borealis in a comfortable minibus (max. 8 persons)! Discover its secrets with an expert tour guide and warm yourself by a campfire in the Arctic wilderness.
After 6 years as a tour guide of Northern Lights in the Arctic, now I want to share with you my experience, knowledge and, above all, my passion, in Spanish.
To best admire the Aurora Borealis, we must get away from the light pollution of Tromsø and go into the Arctic wilderness. The direction we will take will depend on the night's weather: clouds can hide the Aurora, so our priority will be to find a clear sky - if necessary, we could even cross the border to Finland!
Once we find the ideal spot, we will choose an intimate location, away from other tours and artificial lights. Waiting is part of the experience: the Aurora can appear in a few minutes or after a couple of hours. To make the wait more pleasant, we will light a bonfire, enjoy snacks and hot chocolate, and I will tell you all the secrets of this natural phenomenon. Winter temperatures can vary between +5°C and -30°C, so I will provide thermal suits for all participants.
If you have a camera, I will show you how to set it up to capture the Aurora in the best way. In addition, I will take professional photos so you can keep an unforgettable memory of this magical night.
It is important to remember that nature is unpredictable: on rare occasions, the sky may remain overcast or solar activity may be weak. However, even on the most uncertain nights, a small opening in the clouds of 20 minutes can be enough to witness a breathtaking spectacle. Thanks to my knowledge of the local weather and use of advanced tools, we will maximize the odds of being in the right place at the right time.
The length of the tour will depend on the time needed to find the ideal conditions. Sometimes a 30-minute drive from Tromsø will be enough; other times, a real Aurora hunt will be necessary, exploring a larger area to find a starry sky. Whatever the night, I guarantee you an unforgettable adventure!
