Led by a local guide who grew up in the area, this intimate small-group tour blends scenic winter hiking, local storytelling, and comfortable transport in a premium Mercedes V-Class van.

Your journey begins when you arrive on Senja by express boat — a fast, comfortable one-hour trip from Tromsø. Your guide will meet you at the pier in Finnsnes (or Lysnes on selected departures) before we drive toward the remote fishing village of Fjordgård, the starting point for our winter hike.

After a short safety briefing and gear fitting, we begin the ascent to Hesten, following a gentle but steadily rising trail that winds through snow-covered trails. The hike takes around 1.5 hours each way, with time for photo stops, breaks, and enjoying the incredible stillness of Senja’s winter landscape.

At the top, you’ll be rewarded with one of Norway’s most spectacular views: Segla, rising sharply from the fjord below. Here, we take a well-deserved break with warm drinks, snacks, and time to simply take in the vast panorama of mountains and ocean.

After soaking up the scenery, we descend safely back to Fjordgård and return by van to your chosen drop-off point.
