Excursion to Huascarán National Park + Chinancocha Lagoon

On this excursion to the Huascarán National Park we will discover the impressive landscapes of Peruvian nature. In addition, we will take a walk along the María Josefa trail to the Chinancocha lagoon.
Itinerary
We will pick you up from your hotel in Huaraz at 9:30 am and head north through the Callejón de Huaylas, located between the White and Black Mountain Ranges, until we reach the Huascarán National Park.

During the trip, we will pass through some Andean towns and enjoy the beautiful landscapes of Huascarán Park, a World Natural Heritage Site and World Biosphere Reserve. It will leave you speechless!

We will continue traveling through the area until we reach the Llanganuco ravine and the Chinancocha lagoon. At this point, we will leave the minibus and begin a one and a half hour hiking route along the María Josefa trail, a walk that will show us the famous quenual forests.

During the hiking route, the guide will show us all the secrets of the high Andean flora and fauna. You won't stop taking photographs of the surroundings! We will take a one-hour break so you can have lunch on your own.

With our batteries charged, we will approach the Campo Santo de Yungay, a place with an overwhelming history that we will discover in situ. From there, we will return to the minibus and return to your hotel in Huaraz. We will finish the excursion at approximately 6:30 p.m.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
