10:30 am Pedestrian City Tours in which we will visit La Plaza Mayor; The House of Emancipation, House of Orbegoso, Cathedral and the Plaza El Recreo.
We will begin this tour through the capital of the department of La Libertad, to learn a little more about its history, which dates back to pre-Columbian times. The Trujillo city tour begins with a visit to the main square of Trujillo, where we will have an explanation of the Freedom Monument and some of the buildings around it, such as the Trujillo Cathedral.
Also, we will pass by the Urquiaga house, today transformed into a museum that contains different pieces from the pre-Columbian era, from the colony and from the time of emancipation from Spain.
In the last part of the tour, we will pass through Plaza El Recreo, where the first pool that Trujillo had is located, a marble fountain carved in the Italian baroque style and which was originally in the main square. After this, we will end the tour and we will be free to continue walking through the city, or return to our hotels to rest..
