Huaraz: Full day tour to the Parón Lagoon

The impressive and majestic Parón Lagoon is located at an altitude of 4,250 m, in a deep and rugged canyon.
After picking you up at your hotel (at 8:00 am approx), we will head towards the city of Carhuaz, where we will make a brief stop to visit its main square and, if you wish, buy some snacks or drinks. Then, we will continue our journey to the city of Caraz, located 70 km north of Huaraz. From there, we will begin a gradual ascent along a dirt road, passing through picturesque villages until we reach the Parón Lagoon.

Once at the lagoon, you will have time to walk around its waters and enjoy the Andean wild flora, as well as the imposing pyramidal mountains of the Cordillera Blanca, such as the Artesonraju, the Garcilazo Pyramid and the Caraz. Its turquoise waters make this place a truly impressive destination.

If you prefer, you can take an additional hike (approximately 40 minutes) along a zigzagging and somewhat steep path, crossing some rocky areas, until you reach a viewpoint from where you will have a panoramic view of the lagoon in all its magnitude.

After enjoying the scenery and taking some photos, we will return by the same route to the city of Caraz and then continue our journey back to Huaraz, arriving at around 18:00 h. End of the tour.
