Typical Itinerary – Full-Day Colca Tour + Lunch
Super early departure:
We'll pick you up between 3:00 am and 3:30 am from your accommodation or the main square in Arequipa to start this unforgettable adventure to the Colca Canyon.
Stop en route to enjoy breakfast with a dance show in Chivay.
Visit the picturesque villages of Maca, where you can admire its colonial church and observe the typical clothing of the locals. We can also buy souvenirs, then head to the Mirador de la Cruz del Cóndor, the most anticipated point of the tour. From here, you can observe the majestic flight of the Andean condor and contemplate the depth of the canyon for approximately 1 hour
Other viewpoints:
Stops in Antahuilque and Huayrapunko to admire the impressive pre-Inca platforms and the valley's landscapes; plus, a tasting of colca souer prepared with local cactus fruit.
Hot springs (optional):
Relax in the Chacapi hot springs in Yanque, ideal for unwinding and enjoying the natural surroundings located on one side of the Colca River.
Lunch:
Enjoy a buffet lunch with typical Andean dishes at a restaurant in Chivay, included in the tour.
Head back to Arequipa:
On the way back, we'll stop at the Mirador de los Volcanes (Patapampa), the Tocra wetlands, and the Pampa Cañahuas National Reserve, home to vicuñas, alpacas, llamas, huanacos (South American camelids), and high Andean birds.
Patahuasi (optional stop) craft shop and hot drinks.
Arrival:
You'll arrive in Arequipa around 5:30 p.m., wrapping up a day full of nature, culture, and breathtaking landscapes. The last stop is near the main square.

During the tour, we'll make stops in high-altitude areas, reaching a viewpoint located at 4,910 m above sea level (16,000 feet). We recommend taking the necessary precautions for altitude sickness, staying well hydrated, and wearing warm clothes.
The adventure kicks off very early in the morning and lasts about 14 hours. Get ready to enjoy a full day packed with nature, culture, and spectacular scenery.
