Itinerary

6:00 AM – Hotel pickup
We will pick you up from your hotel in Arequipa and begin our journey to Salinas Lagoon.

Chiguata – Volcano Viewpoint
Our first stop will be in Chiguata, at the Volcano Viewpoint, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding volcanoes and Andean landscapes.

Breakfast at Salinas
After approximately two hours of travel,we will enjoy breakfast at Salinas, arriving early before the other groups. You will have the unique experience of enjoying breakfast surrounded by llamas and alpacas, while taking in the beautiful Andean scenery.

Salinas Lagoon – Cacawasi Viewpoint
Our first Trek will be at the Cacawasi viewpoint (4.400 msnm), offering spectacular views of the volcanoes and the entire lagoon. Along the way, we will have the opportunity to spot vicuñas and viscachas in their natural habitat,this trek are easy.

Chilitia La Mariposa – Salt Flats and Migratory Birds
Then continue to the other side of the Salinas Salt Flat, where we will enjoy an easy trek through this spectacular natural landscape. Along the way, you’ll have the opportunity to connect with nature while admiring volcanoes, the vast salt flat, and the incredible Andean wildlife, including alpacas, llamas, vicuñas, and flamingos.

Chiguata – Church and Main Square
On our way back to Arequipa, we will stop at the church and main square of Chiguata before continuing our journey.

1:00 PM – Arrival in Arequipa
We expect to arrive in Arequipa at approximately 1:00 PM.

Important Information

This is a tour fully dedicated to exploring Salinas Lagoon and the Salinas Salt Flats. Depending on the season, visitors may see the salt mirrors, the lagoon, or the salt flats, as the landscape changes throughout the year.

To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
