Begin your morning exploring the natural surroundings of Cajamarca on a 5-hour experience through Bellavista and Sexemayo. Your first stop will be Bellavista Viewpoint, where you’ll take in panoramic views of Cajamarca and the landscapes surrounding the city. It’s a great introduction to the scenery you’ll encounter throughout the day.
From Bellavista, continue to the Sexemayo Complex, a peaceful natural area where you’ll have time to enjoy the fresh mountain air and explore the surroundings with your guide. The route then continues into the forest, where you’ll leave the main road behind and follow natural paths through the landscape.
During the walk, you’ll discover different features along the route, including small lagoons, tunnels, stone steps, natural openings, rock formations and viewpoints. Your guide will accompany you along the trail, helping you understand the environment and pointing out details that can easily be missed when exploring on your own.
The walk also offers an opportunity to observe local vegetation and wildlife while learning about the natural characteristics of the area. Along the way, you’ll see wetlands that collect and filter water naturally as it passes through the rocks, contributing to the ecosystem of Sexemayo.
