Description

Visit Cusco's top attractions, before moving on to regional Peru. You'll explore the Sacred Valley of the Incas including the best archaeological sites, before catching a train to Machu Picchu and finishing with the always-popular Rainbow Mountain.
Day 1: Arrival in Cusco

According to your flight schedule in Cusco, you will be picked up from the airport and then transferred to your hotel. You’ll then have a free day to acclimatize and rest, or can opt instead to walk around the historic center of Cusco. That evening, you will lodge in the Cusco Jungle Hotel or similar.

Day 2: Tour to Chinchero, Maras, and Moray

This day begins with an adventure through the incredible landscapes of Cusco. You will start with pickup from the hotel between 8:00AM and 8:30AM, before then transferring to the colorful town of Chinchero. You will learn about Andean fabrics in a textile interpretation center, before having time to contemplate the local Inca walls.
 
Following that, you’ll continue towards the famous circular cultivation terraces in Moray. There, the area's ancestors, the Incas, experimented to find out the type of product for each floor. You'll then continue your journey by descending towards the Salt mines in Maras (a picturesque place with spectacular landscapes). There, you will visit more than 3,000 wells of salt, in an area which the Incas used to extract salt for consumption.

Finally, you will go to Ollantaytambo Station to take the train to Aguas Calientes (the closest town to Machu Picchu). In Aguas Calientes, you will rest and regain strength for the spectacular next day. That evening, you will lodge at the Golden Sunrise Hotel or similar.

Day 3: Visit to the Inca Citadel of Machu Picchu

This day will be one of the best of your tour, as you visit one of the 7 Wonders of the World: Machu Picchu.
Your tour guide will provide you with all the information and will take you through the best-known sites of the Inca citadel during 2 hours of on-site guidance. You can enjoy the Historical Sanctuary in all its splendor whilst capturing spectacular moments with your camera, and that evening you will lodge at the Cusco Jungle Hotel.

Day 4: Rainbow Mountain

Your day will begin very early in the morning between 4:00AM and 4:30AM as you are picked up at your hotel to begin your tour. From there you will go to the south of the city, crossing fields, rivers, mountains, and villages. You will travel for about 2 hours until you reach the town of Cusipata, where you will enjoy a delicious breakfast.

Following breakfast you will travel for another 45 minutes, observing beautiful landscapes, canyons, glaciers, and herds of llamas and alpacas, before reaching the starting point of your hike in Pulawasipata. You will walk for approximately 2 hours until you reach the Mountain of Colors or Winincunca, and upon reaching the top of the Mountain of Colors, you will have enough time to take photographs and enjoy the landscape. That evening you will once again lodge at the Cusco Jungle Hotel or similar.

Day 5: Transfer to the Airport

On your final day, you'll have a free morning so you can relax and visit the city. In the afternoon or according to your flight schedule, you will be transferred comfortably to the airport.

As you exit the customs area to the arrival lobby, an Inkayni representative will be waiting for you with a signal with your name. This person will provide you the transfer to your Hotel. OPTION 2: Bus Terminal In the case of the bus terminal. When you arrive in Cusco, one member of Inkayni will be waiting for you in the bus waiting area bringing a signal with your name. NOTE: About tours during the package, we will pick you up from the hotels we previously will book for you.

When should I book?

To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.


Cancellations

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 48 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 48 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
