Description

Combine culture, nature, and tradition, and meet with local people. You'll descend to the Inca rainforest for 4 days, navigating an epic adventure consisting of biking, rafting, hiking and zip-lining. You'll also explore archaeological wonders on the way.
Day 1: Arrival to Cusco

Upon your arrival to the airport in Cusco, you'll be picked up and transferred to your hotel in the charming historic district of San Blas. The hotel is only a few minutes walk from the Plaza de Armas, and at 5:00PM you will meet your expedition group.

Day 2: Chinchero, Maras Salt Mines, and Moray

Your second day will begin with pickup from your hotel, from where you will head towards the colorful town of Chinchero. Once there you will be able to explore the Inca walls as well as a small colonial church which contains a lot of history. Continuing your visit, you will go to the famous circular cultivation terraces of Moray, before descending towards the Maras Salt Mines, which make for the perfect photograph. Finally, you will travel back towards Cusco to rest.

Day 3: Cusco and Santa Maria (Biking and Rafting)

After traveling for approximately 3 hours by van, you will arrive at the high mountain pass of Malaga where you will start your descent by mountain bike. You'll pass through small villages, orchards, rivers, and streams, before reaching the town of Huamanmarca at around 1:30PM. From there you will continue by bus for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the town of Santa Maria. Following a short break and lunch, you will begin a rafting trip for 2 hours, encountering class III and IV rapids whilst always accompanied by a professional safety kayak which will watch over the group.

Day 4: Santa Maria, Santa Teresa (Trekking)

Following your wake-up call at around 6:00AM, you'll savor a typical breakfast whilst immersed in nature before departing for a trek. You'll walk along the banks of the river before climbing for 30 minutes, eventually meeting up with the original Inca trail. On your way you will see small coffee plantations, fruit trees, and an abundance of flora and fauna such as birds and orchids. From there you will descend for about 2.5 hours before arriving to the village of Qellomayo for lunch. After a rest you will continue hiking for 3 hours, traversing farms, waterfalls, and rivers until arriving at the Cocalmayu hot springs. Following a relaxing bath, you will walk for 40 minutes to the town of Santa Teresa for the evening's dinner and lodging.

Day 5: Santa Teresa, Aguas Calientes (Hiking and Zip-line)

You will start your day at around 7:00AM to continue exploring the Urubamba River Valley with zip-lines in Santa Teresa. Afterwards, a van will take you to the area known as the hydroelectric. There you will break for lunch before catching the short train through the final stretch to the town of Aguas Calientes below the mountain of Machu Picchu. That evening, you will stay in one of the hotels in town.

Day 6: Machu Picchu and Cusco

You will wake up at around 5:00AM for breakfast, before taking one of the first buses up the mountain to Machu Picchu. Machu Picchu is at its finest at dawn, and there will be a guided tour around the citadel to explain some of its history and to visit its most important features.

Day 7: Departure

On your final day you will have a free morning to relax, before being transferred to the airport in the afternoon.

As you exit the customs area to the arrival lobby, an Inkayni representative will be waiting for you with a signal with your name. This person will provide you the transfer to your Hotel. Option 2: Bus Terminal In the case of the bus terminal. When you arrive in Cusco, one member of Inkayni will be waiting for you in the bus waiting area bringing a signal with your name. NOTE: About tours during the package, we will pick you up from the hotels we previously will book for you. Drop-off/End point description: Once the package has finished, we'll drop you off in Cusco airport, bus terminal or somewhere within the city. You have to provide us the schedule you prefer this transfer take place. Airport Transfer: According to the flight schedule that you provided us previously. When should I book?

To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.


Cancellations

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 48 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 48 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
