Admire the imposing archaeological park of Pisac and then travel along the right bank of the Vilcanota River through the Sacred Valley. Next, head to the town and fortress of Ollantaytambo, built to protect the entrance to the valley. Walk through the streets of the town to get a clear idea of what this military, religious and cultural center was like during the Inca Empire.
