Cusco: Pachamanca - Agricultural activity - Inca tradition

Enjoy an incredible experience, learn about one of the most famous Inca foods, the Pachamanca, and also learn about Inca tools for agriculture.
-We start with the pick up from the hotel at 9:00 a.m., we will travel to Chinchero to the community of Umasbamba where we will be received by the Vayaroc with music and flowers.
-Once in the place we will make a small presentation of all the participants, while we taste a delicious muña tea as a welcome.
-Then our hosts will dress us with ponchos and chullos for the men, and blankets with monteras for the women, symbolizing that we are already part of them.
-Afterwards, we will visit the agricultural area where we will participate in activities such as planting, cultivating or harvesting products, collecting firewood, feeding the animals; some activities vary according to the season.
-Then we will participate in the preparation of the Pachamanca, with the oven already hot, each participant will be able to place the products, meats, tubers, sweet potato, potato, oca, plantain and cheese. Then we will cover the oven with different plants to keep the heat. At the end we will cover it with a layer of earth.
-While we wait for the Pachamanca to cook, we will go to the demonstration area, where we will have a presentation and demonstration of Andean textiles, we will see the techniques used for shearing, dyeing, warping, design and weaving.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
