Cuzco: Machu Picchu, Humantay, Rainbow mountain 6 days trip

Day 1: Today you arrive, you can start your adventure exploring the magic town of Cuzco. A tour representative awaits for you to greet you upon your arrival to Cusco and take you to your hotel.

Day 2: This day you start off with a yummy breakfast and take the tour towards Chinchero, where you see Inca buildings and the small colonial church; you also participate in the elaboration of Andean textiles. Next, you visit the famous circular terraces of Moray. From here the tour goes on to the Saltmines of Maras, which has more than 3000 salt mines, this salt was used by the Incas for human consumption. Finally you head to Ollantaytambo to take the train (Expedition by Peru Rail or Voyager by Inca Rail) to Aguas Calientes.

Day 3: You wake up very early, have breakfast, and take the bus from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu. The tour guide gives you a detailed explanation on this historical sanctuary; when the tour is done you go back to Aguas Calientes to have lunch and later board the train to Ollantaytambo. From here you finally go back to your hotel in Cusco to rest

Day 4: You start the tour early to go to Mollepata, where you have breakfast. From there you continue to Soraypampa, the starting point for the trek. On the ascent you can observe the diverse flora and fauna that inhabit the area. You see many typical birds of the region, as well as the wonderful landscape. You follow the path until you reach the beautiful Laguna de Humantay, where you can enjoy some delicious snacks. Later you have lunch and return to Cusco. Take into account that the maximum height of this trek is 5,000 meters above sea level, so it is important to be in good physical condition.

Day 5: You leave the hotel very early to start the tour to the amazing 7 colored mountain. On the way you observe the beautiful landscape, alpacas, llamas, and vicuñas. At the top of the mountain you have enough time to take pictures and enjoy this incredible place. Later you have lunch and return to Cusco.

Day 6: You spend this last day at your leisure and keep exploring the magical Cusco. Later, according to your flight schedule (we suggest to book a flight that departs after 2 pm), you are driven to the airport for your trip back home. We recommend that you stay at least one more day in Cusco, since you will not have enough time to get to know and discover everything that this city has for you
