Excursion to Maras with salt massage + Moray and Misminay

On this excursion from Cusco we will visit the famous salt mines of Maras, the circular terraces of Moray and the community of Misminay, a real adventure in the Peruvian Andes!
Itinerary

Between 8:00 and 8:30 a.m. we will pick you up at your hotel in Cusco. There we will begin an excursion that will take us to visit some of the great attractions of the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

After the introductions, we will go to the town of Maras, where its houses with colonial facades are still preserved. We will go to the salt mines and its salt quarries, which date back to Inca times, a truly unique landscape!

After learning about all the properties of this salt, we will go to Misminay. We will have a welcome snack offered by the neighbors of the community. Here we will see the way of life of the local people, which is based on agricultural and textile tasks. You will love to see their daily life! Have you worked up an appetite? Before continuing, we will have a lunch consisting of a starter, a main course and a drink.

Then, we will start a hike to the viewpoint of Moray, from where you can see the archaeological center of Moray. At 3500 meters above sea level, we will find an amphitheater of circular platforms. Do you know what function it had in Inca times? We will tell you many curiosities as we walk through this site!

On the way back, a massage with Maras salt will be waiting for us. What are its health benefits? Several women from the community will tell us all about its properties while they apply a medicinal foot bath with these salts and different herbs.

After eight hours, we will finish the excursion back at your hotel in Peru.
