Description

Q'eswachaka is the only Inca bridge preserved in Peru. Made by hand, it is a work of engineering that is worth discovering. Would you like to join this excursion from Cusco?
Itinerary
At 5:00 a.m. we will pick you up at your hotel in Cusco and head south. After a two-hour bus ride, we will stop at a local restaurant to enjoy a delicious breakfast. What better way to get some energy?

We will continue our excursion until we stop at the lakes of Pampamarca, Asnacqocha, Acopía and Pomacanchi. We will return to our route heading to the Pabellones vocán, very close to the small town of Yanaoca.

Then, we will finally reach the district of Q'ewe, where we will find the famous Inca bridge Q'eswachaka, the main attraction of our journey. This bridge crosses the Apurimac River and has a peculiarity: it is the only bridge of the time that is preserved today.

Despite its age, this bridge is renewed every June thanks to the local communities to perfectly preserve its condition and its origin. For this reason you will not have to worry about crossing it, it is totally safe!

We will leave Q'eswachaka behind and make a last stop to enjoy a buffet lunch. Back with energy, we will return to Cusco and leave you in Regocijo square at 17:00 hours.
