Day 1: Cusco to KM 104 Overnight in Aguas calientes.
We will pick up from your hotel then transfer you until ollantaytambo station Here we board the Expedition train, we will travel for about 1 hour and 30 minutes until 104 (start of our trek At Km 104 after pass the control , we began to walk softly beside Vilcanota River . Starting the way we will see the archeological site of of Chachabamba , a stone altar -site that was used to worship the sun and the mountains , still revered by local people . After visiting Chachabamba , we continue our hiking We may also see some larger mammals such as Viscachas (rabbit-like Chinchillas) and Spectacled Bears (if we are very lucky). After walking 3 hours , the road descends into a forest amazing. Here you will find a beautiful waterfall , then get to the bottom of the ruins of Winaywayna . Appreciate the beauty of this place ,

After a full days trekking we’ll arrive to the Sun Gate (Inti Punku) in the late afternoon and get our first views of Machu Picchu spread out on the mountain below. That site it’s a perfect place to take really nice pictures of machu picchu surrounded by impressive mountain peaks, deep valleys and the Urubamba River. From Intipunku we will descend 30 minutes for the citadel and we will place it at the top to rest and take pictures. Finally, we will take the bus to Aguas Calientes (2,030 meters), where we will spend the night, where we have the opportunity to visit the hot springs of the place..

DAY 2: Machu picchu and Return to Cusco!
After early breakfast at your hotel, you will take a bus with our Guide to the ruins of machupicchu which only takes 30 minutes and departs every 10 minutes. Or if you don’t want to take the bus but prefer to hike along the Inca trail, just let your guide know so that he can show you the Inca trail to Machupicchu, which takes about 1h 20 minutes.

In Machupicchu you will meet your group and have a 2 hours guided tour. Then you will have extra time to explore the ruins by yourself. If on the other hand you want to see Huaynapicchu, you can climb it or you can go to the most famous spot of Machupicchu. The sun gate is 1 hour climb, if you simply want to get postcard pictures of the ruins. We encourage all the travelers to make the most of their time in this place. Then you can take the bus to return to Aguas Calientes, or carry on with your walking through those famous Inca steps.

The usual departure time is in the afternoon, first with the train to Ollantaytambo, then by bus to your hotel in Cusco.
