You will enjoy a cultural and historical experience
Our tour begins with pick-up from your hotel in Cusco, followed by a 40-minute drive to Chinchero, where the artisan center (textile workshops) is located.
We will learn about the dyeing and weaving of wool by the Chincherina women, a skill passed down through generations, and we will wrap up the tour by putting on traditional Chinchero costumes for photos.
We will then travel for 30 minutes to Maras, where the salt mines are located. There are over 5,000 salt ponds, worked by hand by the inhabitants of Maras and Pichingoto. We will also have the option to sample Maras salt in various forms. We will then continue our tour to Moray, an archaeological site considered to be an Inca laboratory, and conclude in Ollantaytambo with drop-off at your hotel or train station.
