Callao: Ceviche Route and Dining Experience

8:00–8:30 a.m. Pick-up from your hotel in Barranco, Miraflores, or San Isidro.

Your tour will begin with a visit to the Minka Market, where you'll discover the variety of fresh seafood and some of the essential ingredients of Chalaca cuisine. You will then enjoy a stop in front of the historic Real Felipe Fortress to try coffee and a traditional pan con pejerrey (bread with Peruvian smelt), one of the most iconic flavors of the harbor.

You'll then continue to Callao Monumental, strolling through its streets and alleyways, visiting the Main Church, and admiring colorful expressions of street art that reflect the identity and cultural transformation of this area.

The culinary experience will continue with a food tasting of authentic street cart ceviche paired with chicha morada. Later, in Chucuito, you'll try a trio of causas with different seafood flavors.

One of the highlights of the sightseeing tour will be a food tasting of Peruvian ceviche accompanied by ceviche-style scallops, chalaca-style mussels, octopus with olives, and a refreshing Pisco Sour.

Finally, you'll arrive in La Punta, where you'll take in the coastal scenery and views of the Pacific Ocean before returning to your hotel, wrapping up an experience designed to help you discover Callao through its flavors, its history, and its deep connection to the sea.
