Description

Discover the Ria Lagartos Biosphere Reserve, and be surprised by its beautiful landscapes; During the trip you will be able to admire the incredible flora and fauna of the region.
Enjoy a boat journey through the mangrove channels of the Ría Lagartos biosphere, and be amazed by the flora and fauna of the area. During the tour, you will observe different types of mangroves, brown pelicans, laughing gulls, various types of herons, among other species found in the area. If we're lucky, we might spot some flamingos feeding in the shallows of the
zone. We will visit a mangrove shallow where, if environmental conditions allow and if luck is on our side, we might observe the largest reptile on the planet, basking in the sun to regulate its body temperature. Some crocodiles near the population use these shallow areas to feed and sunbathe.
Subsequently, we will move on to the next point of interest, a majestic natural spring called Chiquilá. This spring is unique in the world as it connects to the sea arm; the water found there is brackish. Visitors can swim for a few minutes and then take a short walk along a trail where we might encounter a small natural spring and, if lucky, crocodiles. We will then apply Mayan bath, a clay with mineral properties that aid in skin care. To conclude the tour, we visit a beach for relaxation and enjoyment of nature.
