Description
Discover the ruins of the atavillos citadel, an ancient pre-Inca culture, in this trekking route through Rupac you will enjoy beautiful sunsets from the top of the mountain.
Itinerary
Day 1
Pick up at the point of your choice in Lima, we head towards the province of Huaral. We will have a stop for breakfast on your own, continue to Florida, where you can relax, stretch your legs, while we buy tickets to the citadel of Rupac.
After lunch, we will leave the village of Pampas and start a three-hour trekking route to Rupac, admiring the incredible mountain scenery.
We will cross waterfalls, pastures and small streams until we reach the camping area, to contemplate a wonderful sunset over Rupac. Afterwards we will sit by the fire to rest and enjoy the starry sky.
Day 2
We will wake up to enjoy a wonderful sunrise in Rupac, we will have a comforting breakfast. We will continue visiting the citadel, learn about the history of the Atavillos, the pre-Inca culture that built the buildings on top of the mountain, and discover how they carried out their rituals and traditions.
After the visit to Rupac, we will return to Pampas, where we will have lunch, and start our return to Lima. We will drop you off at the pick up point at 7:00 pm approx.
