From Iquitos: Magical Tarapoto (5D/4N)

Tarapoto is perfect for nature and adventure lovers. Its natural beauty, pleasant climate and cultural wealth make Tarapoto a unique place in Peru.
Day 1
Transfers from the airport to the chosen hotel in Tarapoto.

Whose name means “water that sings” or “water that laughs”, the place also impresses with its flora, among which a great variety of orchids and ferns stand out. You can see butterflies, insects and birds in the area.

Day 2:
Return: 5:30 p.m.
Continuing the tour we arrive at the Blue Lagoon, whose name has merit due to the beautiful color of its waters that reflect the sky of the town. Ideal place to visit with family and friends. We will take a boat ride of approximately 1 hour, along the way you will be able to observe different species of birds. We will enjoy a tourist lunch in a comfortable restaurant in front of the beautiful landscape that the Lagoon offers us. Free time to swim, sunbathe, visit the different craft stalls or do some water sports activity.
Day 3
The Carpishuyacu waterfall is one of the most beautiful and exotic waterfalls in the entire Tarapoto area. The pool is six meters deep in the deepest part so you need to know how to swim to enter it. To reach the waterfall requires an affordable 45-minute walk and in the last part there are also some outdoor thermal baths that allow you to relax and rest before resuming the trip. It should be noted that the path along which the walk takes place is a bit complicated. In some sections you have to overcome some unevenness with stairs and cross a river in a small raft. In those parts it is advisable to be cautious but the rest does not entail major difficulty and if you are in reasonable physical condition a visit to Carpishuyacu is highly recommended.

Day 4
Return: 7.00 pm The town of Lamas is 30 minutes away. From Tarapoto. This city is known for its immense cultural value. It is divided into 2 sectors; The Wayku neighborhood in the lower part where we find the Quechua-speaking natives and they are characterized by preserving and conserving their ancestral customs. Day 5:
