Description

Enjoy a relaxing experience in the Amazon jungle. The Sandoval Lake is a marvel that is surrounded by aguaje palm trees, as well as inhabits a large amount of fish.
Day 1 : Pick up at the terminal - Lodge - Jungle Excursion

One of our representatives will be waiting for your arrival in Puerto Maldonado.
Then we will go to the Tambopata River, where we will take a boat that will take us to the lodge. Upon arrival we will be welcomed and accommodated in a room.
After lunch, we will take an introductory walk, starting in a secondary forest and then the primary forest full of huge trees, vines and creepers, at the same time we will engage in a conversation about the most important economic activities of this region.
When it is getting dark we will return to the lodge, board a boat and go in search of caiman sightings.

Day 2 : Parrot clay lick - Lake Sandoval

Our day begins with a comforting breakfast at 5:00 a.m. We will start a 1h30min boat trip to the parrot clay lick. You will be dazzled with the great Amazonian fauna, we will be able to see shorebirds, capybaras, white caimans among others.
Arriving at our destination, we will observe a great spectacle in the clay lick, we will contemplate parrots, macaws of different colors flying, it will be a beautiful spectacle, we will enjoy our breakfast in front of the parrot clay lick.
Later we will return to the city of Puerto Maldonado to go to the entrance of the Tambopata Reserve, upon arrival we will board for 45 minutes to reach the port of Lake Sandoval.
Upon arrival we will take a walk through a tropical forest, during the course we will observe natural bamboo, monkeys, sloths and macaws, upon arrival at our lodge we will be given our rooms.
After a short rest we will board a boat to go to see the sunset accompanied by nocturnal monkeys and bats. Finally, we will enjoy dinner and spend the night.

Day 3 : The search for Giant Otters - night tour

We will start our excursion very early at 5:00 a.m. with a comforting breakfast.
Then we will go in search of giant otters, we will observe them up close as they are used to being photographed. We will also be able to see different species of multicolored parrots.
Later we will take a walk where we will observe a great variety of trees from 300 to 450 years old, we will also learn about the medicinal plants that are commonly used by the natives.
Then we will return to our lodge to enjoy our lunch, in the afternoon we can go swimming with our guide.
We will return to our lodge and embark on a search for black caimans and contemplate a spectacular sunset, while enjoying the songs of the birds.
In the evening we will enjoy dinner and a night walk to find a variety of insects.

Day 4: Sandoval Lake to Puerto Maldonado and to the airport/bus terminal.

Our day starts at 5:00 am.
We will embark and go in search of the giant otter and a great diversity of flora and fauna.
We will return to the lodge for breakfast and return to the city of Puerto Maldonado.

Cancellations

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
