Discover the lush biodiversity, from colorful birds to fascinating aquatic creatures, while exploring dense vegetation and immersing yourself in the local culture.
Day 1: Upon arrival at the airport or bus terminal, you will be transferred to the Monte Amazónico office for registration. If you have large luggage, it is suggested to repack and carry only the necessary items. Transfer by 4x4 vehicle to the Tambopata River banks, approximately 2 hours away. From there, take a boat to the "Monte Amazónico - Tambopata" Lodge. Welcome and room allocation, followed by lunch. In the afternoon, embark on an introductory walk in the tropical rainforest, offering a chance to observe animals in their natural habitat, including amphibians, mammals, reptiles, and incredible insects.

Day 2: Wake up early at 4:30 am for a boat journey of about 1.5 hours to the world's largest macaw clay lick, Collpa Chuncho, where you might spot various species such as capybaras, giant rodents, and even the beautiful South American jaguar. Witness hundreds of parrots and macaws coming to feed on clay, creating a spectacular natural display. After breakfast, return by boat to Puerto Maldonado and then continue for 1 hour to the lodge. After lunch, visit the "Monkey Island" across the Madre de Dios River, home to different monkey species, before searching for white caimans on the riverbanks at night.

Day 3: After breakfast, embark on a 3 km jungle trek towards Lake Sandoval, habitat of piranhas, where you can explore the diverse bird and monkey species. Keep an eye out for the endangered giant otters and massive caimans measuring over 4 meters long. Return to the lodge for a typical lunch. In the evening, enjoy a nocturnal walk to observe various species of insects, amphibians, reptiles, and other nocturnal animals.

Day 4: Start your day with a canopy walkway at a height of 30 meters, offering a unique perspective of nature and a panoramic view of the Madre de Dios River. Observe various bird species such as toucans, macaws, and oropendolas. After breakfast, return to the city and transfer to the airport or bus station.
