MONKEY´D EXCURSION (2 DAYS – 1 NIGHT)

Take a Monkey's excursion in 2 days and 1 night, visit paths inside the forest, enjoy the sunset on the river, observe a variety of flora and fauna.
DAY 1: CONNECT WITH THE NATURAL JUNGLE AND RELAX

Reception at our office and heading to our lodge to begin the adventure, the 35-minute boat ride to the lodge which is located near the Madre de Dios River. Presentation of the lodge and rooms with private bathroom.

Our first activities are:
Visit to the monkey house. Where we will have the option to share this experience of feeding the monkeys, a total of 4 species that live freely.
Walk in the jungle where there is a large forest of giant trees and we learn about medicinal plants and some medicinal trees that live 400 years.
Night walk where you can observe; tarantulas, frogs, owls, bamboo rats, snakes, and other nocturnal animals. With the help of a good flashlight.

DAY 2: THE MANIFESTATION OF FAUNA IN LAKE SANDOVAL
AMERICAN BREAKFAST
This activity takes us by boat for 1 hour to reach the TAMBOPATA NATIONAL RESERVE. The walk is 3 kilometers (1 hour) our path is very clean and connects with a bridge, well preserved to reach Lake SANDOVAL and where we can find:
monkeys up to 4 species
snakes
tarantulas
tropical birds
parrots
Mammals
INCLUDES LUNCH
At the end of the walk, a canoe awaits us to go to our cabins exploring Lake Sandoval.
We explore along the right bank to look for fauna around the lake and on the way we can find; tropical birds on the shore, herons, alligators, and the giant river wolf 2 meters long.

Departure to Puerto Maldonado Your guide and the staff in charge will say goodbye to you and thank you for visiting this part of the Amazon. You will travel by canoe with an outboard motor back to Puerto Maldonado. Depending on your departure time, you will be able to relax and calmly wait for your bus home or to your next destination.

To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
