Day 1: Puerto Maldonado - Monkey Island
The tour will begin with pickup from your hotel in Puerto Maldonado, we will arrive to the banks of the Tambopata River. Two hours later, we will change transportation and board a boat that will take us to the hotel where we will spend the night.

In the afternoon, we will travel by boat to Monkey Island, a rescue center created to care for vulnerable primates. Upon arriving at this refuge, we will learn about the species of monkeys and the care they receive daily.
After the visit to this island, we will return to the accommodation, and then go to see the white caimans that live in the Madre de Dios river. In addition to this we will be able to see the largest rodent in the world, the capiraba.
We will end this day and return to the logde, where we will have dinner and rest.

Day 2: Sandoval lake

This day will begin with breakfast at the hotel and we will begin the walk to the Tambopata rainforest to reach Lake Sandoval, one of the largest in the reserve and famous for being a habitat for piranhas.
We will be able to navigate Lake Sandoval to get to know the flora and fauna of the place. During the trip we will be able to observe different species of animals such as pumas, monkeys or giant otters.
At night there will be a short walk to learn a little more about the diversity of insects, amphibians, reptiles and other nocturnal animals. After the walk we will return to the hotel to eat and rest for the next day.

Day 3:

On this day we will start very early and go to the Canopy Walk-Way of Tambopata, we will find ourselves at 30 meters high from where we will enjoy incredible views of the Madre de Dios River and we will also get to know its birdlife such as toucans and macaws.
After doing this excursion, we will return to the hotel for breakfast and return to Puerto Maldonado and finish the excursion at approximately lunch time.
