Bolivia: Full day to Copacabana & Isla del Sol

On the legendary Isla del Sol, you can enjoy the beautiful gardens from the Inca period, the fountain of the Inca youth and the terraces.
During the day trip from Puno to Copacabana and the Island of the Sun, you will have the opportunity to visit the Basilica of the Virgin Candelaria in Copacabana. This excursion will take you to explore a place that was the centre of origin of the Inca Empire, where you can discover important archaeological sites dedicated to the worship of the Sun God or Inti.

The itinerary begins with hotel pick-up at 7:00 am in the city of Puno, followed by transfer to the terminal station, from where we will head to Copacabana by tour bus. After a few hours of travel, we will arrive at the border between Peru and Bolivia (Cassani), where we will complete the formalities to enter Bolivia. Once the formalities are completed, we will continue our journey to Copacabana, with an approximate arrival time of 12:00 pm Bolivian time. Here we will have lunch and a guided tour of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Copacabana.
Then, we will go to the pier to take a boat to the Isla del Sol. We will cross Lake Titicaca until we reach the south side of the Isla del Sol, where we will visit the archaeological site of Pilkoken (Temple of the Sun). During the tour on the south side of the Isla del Sol, we will descend the Umani stairs from the Inca period and visit the Eternal Fountain of the Incas, where you will have the opportunity to taste the holy water.

Finally, we will board the boat back to Copacabana with an estimated arrival time of 5:00 pm. Once back in Copacabana, you will have some free time before taking the bus back to Puno, arriving at approximately 9:00 pm. You will then make your way to your hotel in Puno.
