Puno: Ccotos and Tikonata with Sailboat Navigation | Full Day

Discover Lake Titicaca by sailing on a sailboat to Tikonata. Visit its museum and vantage points, and share the traditions and typical clothing of Capachica with a family from Ccotos.
Departure from Puno – 9:00 a.m.

The experience begins with pick-up from your accommodation in Puno. We'll travel by road to Chifrón, located on the Capachica Peninsula, enjoying the landscapes of the highlands and Lake Titicaca along the way.

Chifrón and Sailing on a Traditional Sailboat

Upon arrival in Chifrón, one of the most special experiences of the day begins: you will board a traditional sailboat and cruise the waters of Lake Titicaca, propelled by the wind. During the tour, you'll be able to see the landscape, the mountains, and the vastness of the lake from a different perspective.

Tikonata Island – Nature and History

We'll arrive at approximately 10:00 AM at the peaceful Tikonata Island. You'll walk its trails accompanied by your tour guide until you reach a natural vantage point from which you can enjoy beautiful panoramic views of Lake Titicaca.

You will also visit the island's community museum and discover part of its history and archaeological heritage, including remains and mummies of pre-Inca origin.

Ccotos Community – Cultural Exchange

At around 12:00 PM, we will continue to the Ccotos community, where you will be welcomed by a local family. Here you'll have the opportunity to learn about their way of life, customs, and the importance of community-based rural tourism for families in the area.

Local Lunch and Traditional Capachica Clothing

Enjoy a locally prepared lunch and take part in a special cultural experience: you'll be able to wear the colorful traditional clothing of Capachica and learn about its meaning while sharing an authentic moment with the community. Take the opportunity to take photos and take home a unique souvenir of your visit to Lake Titicaca.

Drop-off to Puno

After the experience in Ccotos, we will begin the return journey by land to the city of Puno, ending a day of sailing, scenery, history, and an encounter with the living traditions of Lake Titicaca.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
