Start your journey at 6:45 AM, departing from the bus terminal in Puno city. Make your first stop at the Lithic Museum of Pucara, where you'll explore the legacy of an ancient civilization that flourished in the South American high plains over 2,000 years ago. Admire the anthropomorphic stone carvings once worshiped by the Pucara culture, including the iconic sculpture known as “The Beheader.”

Continue the journey to reach Abra La Raya, the highest point on the route at 4,335 meters above sea level. This natural pass marks the geographical and political border between Puno and Cusco. Take in the breathtaking views of the Chimboya Mountain, rising majestically to 5,300 meters.
