➡️San Martín Tilcajete: Alebrijes Workshop
Visit the vibrant town of San Martín Tilcajete, home of the famous alebrijes, brightly painted wooden figures that embody Oaxaca’s artistic imagination. Meet local artisans, watch live demonstrations of carving and painting, and learn how these colorful creatures are crafted by hand using traditional techniques.

➡️Mezcal Distillery Experience
Immerse yourself in Oaxaca’s mezcal culture with a guided visit to a traditional mezcal palenque. Learn about the distillation process, from agave roasting to bottling, and enjoy a tasting session to discover the distinct aromas and flavors of this celebrated spirit.

IMPORTANT: This experience may vary depending on availability. We usually include the Mezcal Experience; however, if it’s not available, it will be replaced with a visit to a traditional backstrap loom workshop in Jaliezta.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
