Wander across the Main Market Square, admire the Cloth Hall, and explore atmospheric streets that have earned Kraków its reputation as one of Europe’s most beautiful cities.
Begin your experience in the heart of Kraków’s Old Town. Stroll through the Main Market Square, pass the Cloth Hall, and explore historic streets shaped by centuries of royal processions, trade, and daily life. Visit the courtyard of Collegium Maius, Poland’s oldest university building, and hear stories of its most famous student, Nicolaus Copernicus. Along the way, your guide brings Kraków’s golden age and merchant traditions to life.
Continue with a guided visit inside St. Mary’s Basilica. Admire the magnificent Gothic altar carved by Veit Stoss and learn about its symbolism, craftsmanship, and importance to Kraków’s cultural heritage.
Descend beneath the Main Market Square to explore one of Kraków’s most fascinating hidden attractions. With skip-the-line access, follow your guide through atmospheric underground passages preserving medieval streets, market stalls, and everyday artifacts. Innovative multimedia installations—sounds, projections, and holograms—recreate the vibrant rhythm of medieval life, revealing how Kraków grew into a major European trade centre.
Ideal for first-time visitors, this well-balanced walking tour offers a rich and memorable introduction to the historic centre of Kraków.
When you return above ground, familiar landmarks such as St. Mary’s Basilica and the Cloth Hall will appear in a new light—you’ve just walked through 700 years of history concealed beneath Kraków’s cobblestones.
