Have you seen the top attractions in Warsaw and want something more? Are you bored with the touristy places and feel like adding some new thrills to your stay in the city? Then take this unique bus tour to the “dark side” of Warsaw – the infamous Praga district. Find out why the district was considered the most dangerous part of Warsaw. See a marketplace where you could buy almost everything from jeans and diplomas to Kalashnikov rifles and check yourself if it’s still open. Every Saturday morning (at 11:00 AM) in front of the Palace of Culture and Science, there will be a retro Jelcz “cucumber” bus to take you to the Praga district for a 2.5-hour tour. On-board, there will be a guide to help you through the district and to make sure you come back in one piece.

On the road, your guide will provide commentary and introduce you to the history of Warsaw and the Praga district - a district of an amusing yet sometimes scary past. After crossing the Vistula River, you will get off at the first stop – a chocolate factory. Here, get to know the story of the company producing sweets in Warsaw since the mid-19th century and taste a cup of their delicious hot chocolate. The next stop will be Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus which is one of the most impressive religious buildings in Warsaw. It’s architecture was inspired by the Roman basilica of St. Paul.

See a former vodka factory, Koneser, and find out what delicacies where made there and what is in this complex now. Tour will also cover the area called the Praga “Bermuda Triangle.” Get to know the origin of the name, and see some examples of the authentic pre-war architecture with scenic courtyards and colorful shrines inside. The neighborhood still has the atmosphere of old Warsaw and is loved by film directors, like Roman Polański, who filmed “The Pianist” here and many more that will be mentioned by your tour guide. From here, you will head back to the Palace of Culture and Science to finish the tour.
