3-Day Gorilla Habituation Experience in Uganda

Embark on a 3-day journey from Kigali to Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for an immersive gorilla habituation experience, combined with cultural encounters and scenic lakeside relaxation.
Begin with an early morning pickup in Kigali, followed by a scenic drive to the Uganda border. After immigration formalities, continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, arriving in time for lunch at your lodge.

In the afternoon, visit the Batwa community for a cultural experience, where you’ll learn about their traditional forest lifestyle, music, and history as the original inhabitants of Bwindi.

Day 2: Gorilla Habituation Experience & Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before starting your gorilla habituation experience.

Accompanied by researchers and expert guides, trek into the forest to spend up to 4 hours with a semi-habituated gorilla family—an intimate and in-depth wildlife encounter. The trek duration can vary between 2–6 hours depending on the gorillas’ location.

After the experience, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, one of Africa’s most beautiful lakes, known for its terraced hills and peaceful atmosphere. Check into your lakeside lodge and relax for the evening.

Day 3: Departure

After breakfast, enjoy the serene views of Lake Bunyonyi before beginning your transfer back to Kigali for drop-off or your onward flight.

To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
