Embark on a full-day safari adventure in Akagera National Park, known for its varied terrain of savannah and wetlands which makes the park home to a wide variety of fauna. Spot exciting wildlife such as the Big 5 and big cats on your game drive and enjoy the magnificent views of the natural surroundings.

Meet your small group early in the morning (around 5 AM) and hop in the van which will take you straight to Akagera National Park. After a short introduction and safety briefing, you'll have time to get comfortable before heading out in search of the Big 5.

Explore routes less traveled in your game viewing 4x4 with your experienced guide tracking the animals you want to see. Encounter wildlife such as elephant, buffalo, wildebeest, kudu, and of course lion, leopard, and cheetah.

Akagera National Park lies in eastern Rwanda, hugging the border with Tanzania. It's characterized by woodland, swamps, low mountains, and savannah. The varied terrain shelters wildlife including zebras, giraffes, elephants, lions, and hundreds of bird species, such as the rare shoebill stork. In the southern part of the park, vast Lake Ihema is home to hippos and crocodiles.

On completion of the game drive (+-3.5 hours), return to base camp for a debrief from your professional guide and tuck into a delicious meal. After, return to your hotel in Kigali.
