Meet at Busan Station(KTX Train) Exit 1 and take a public bus to the first stop. On the way, I will give you an overview of the tour and introduce Busan’s historical background.

1. Busan Modern History Museum, 104 Daecheong-ro, Jung-gu, Busan
Visit the former Japanese Consulate building, now transformed into the Busan Modern History Museum. This stop offers a meaningful introduction to Busan’s modern history and the lasting impact of Japanese colonial rule on the city. I will explain how Busan changed during this period, especially in relation to its port, coastline, trade, and urban development. It is the perfect starting point for understanding how history shaped the Busan we see today.

2. Joseon Tongsinsa (Envoy) Museum & Busanjinseong Park, 99 Jaseong-ro, Dong-gu, Busan
Visit the Joseon Tongsinsa (Envoy) Museum to learn about the diplomatic relationship between Korea and Japan during the Joseon Dynasty. Through this museum, guests can better understand how the two countries communicated in times of both peace and tension. After the museum visit, we will explore Busanjinseong Park, where traces of the old fortress still remain. As we walk through the park, I will share the historical significance of this area and explain Busan’s important military and diplomatic role throughout Korean history.

Enjoy a real local meal experience at Bujeon Market, one of Busan’s lively traditional markets. You can try a variety of affordable and delicious Korean dishes, snacks, and seasonal specialties while walking through narrow alleys lined with local vendors. It is a great place to relax, eat like a local, and enjoy a different side of Busan beyond the usual tourist spots.

Walking along the remains of the fortress and visiting the museum helps bring this dramatic chapter of Korean history to life.
