From there, we descend to Bulguksa Temple, a masterpiece of Buddhist architecture where I’ll lead you through the intricate stone bridges that have stood for over a millennium.

To truly experience Gyeongju, you have to taste it. For lunch, we step away from the tourist cafes for a traditional Hanjeongsik (full-course meal). To make this meal truly local, we include a tasting of Makgeolli, Korea’s famous milky rice wine, which perfectly complements the seasonal side dishes. After diving into history at the Gyeongju National Museum, we walk through the picturesque Woljeonggyo Bridge and the ancient stone walls of Gyochon Traditional Village.
