Description

The North Korean Defector Tour is far more than a sightseeing excursion. It is an immersive educational journey into the heart of one of the most divided regions on Earth.
Your journey begins in Seoul, where you will depart by bus toward the Demilitarized Zone. The first stop is Imjingak Park, a symbolic site filled with monuments and memorials dedicated to the Korean War and divided families. Here, you will meet a North Korean defector, watch a moving documentary film about life in the North, and take part in an intimate Q&A session where you can ask questions and hear personal stories of escape and resettlement.

After this eye-opening encounter, the tour continues to the Third Infiltration Tunnel, secretly dug by North Korea in an attempt to invade the South. Equipped with a helmet, you will descend underground and walk through part of the tunnel, gaining a rare look at the realities of military tension.

Next, you will visit the Dora Observatory, perched high on Mount Dora, where telescopes provide an extraordinary view across the heavily fortified border into North Korea. On a clear day, you may glimpse villages and military outposts on the northern side.

With a heart full of reflection and new perspectives, you will return to Seoul, carrying with you both the human stories of resilience and the striking images of one of the world’s most unique borders.
