Description
An enjoyable tour, in which tourists participate directly in the tour route. I will show you the history of the town of Bilbao from the beginning to the present day.
We will start at the Abando de Indalecio Prieto station in Bilbao. I will show you the great stained glass window that appears in it, breaking down the meaning of it. In the same station we will be able to see one of the first coats of arms that we will see of the town.
We will also see the founder of the town and I will read you the founding charter with which Bilbao was born. Going into the old town, we will see the Arriaga theater, the most popular theater of the town. We will also talk about the history and connection that Bilbao had with the surrounding municipalities. We will also talk about one of the oldest bars in the old town and its connection with the last Carlist war that Bilbao suffered. We will see, of course, the cathedral of Santiago, breaking down one by one its three facades. We will also talk about a very important character in the history of the Spanish Empire who lived in the town. We will also talk about another philosopher and writer who saw the birth of the town. Finally we will see the bridge and the church of San Antón and the riverside market.
