Important information before booking
When you arrive at Medina Azahara, you should meet the tour guide at the meeting point. The visit begins with an initial stop at the museum of the archaeological site, where you'll spend approximately 30 minutes. In this space, the tour guide will give an introduction to contextualize the history of the site and prepare for the visit.
Afterwards, you will take the site's internal shuttle coach (included in the admission ticket), which will take you from the museum to the upper archaeological zone. Once there, the tour guide will continue with the guided visit of the main remains of the complex.
At the end of the tour, you will return by coach to the admission area, where the visit will conclude.
The site has free parking for both private cars and coaches, so admission is convenient and hassle-free.
It is important to arrive early enough to start the experience without delay.
The visitor center is visible from the parking lot, where the tour guide will be waiting for you.
