Description

A 7.5 km road to see the volcanic landscape that originates from the roots of the island of Gran Canaria from the volcanic eruptions that took place many years ago. It is a path with an average difficulty level, so it is advisable to have some experience, or at least have a minimum of skills for it. Our path starts in the northeast of the island of Gran Canaria, where we will learn the different minerals that the Canary country offers us and that an experienced guide will explain us along the way, as well as the unusual vegetation that comes from it. In the Barnado de los Cernícalos we see a stream that flows all year round the valley and maintains vegetation all year round, with an optimal humidity level. It is a tour that is often walked by visitors to Gran Canaria, but also by the locals, because many families come with their children to enjoy the weekend. The end has a big surprise, the place that determines this is the Barranco de Guayadeque a historic site because of its archaeological wealth, and there is an important variety of native fauna and flora present, here also the Canarian aborigines lived for many years, a remarkable place because of the many cave dwellings, old caves currently still inhabited by the locals, as well as famous restaurants and a hermitage. Without a doubt it is a special trekking, which we really recommend you to do and discover the nature of the island of Gran Canaria first-hand.
