Experience the diverse cultures of Spain on a 7-day tour of several distinct areas, and learn about the influence of the Moors in Seville, Granada and Cordoba. Discover the vibrant coastal resorts of Valencia and Barcelona, driving through mountains and along the magnificent Mediterranean coast along the way.

Day 1: Madrid - Cordoba – Sevilla
Depart Madrid, and drive by comfortable air-conditioned coach through the magnificent countryside of La Mancha to Cordoba. Spend some time exploring the city’s famous mosque and Jewish Quarter, before continuing for dinner and an overnight stay at the 4-star Hesperia Sevilla in the lovely Andalusian city of Seville.

Day 2: Seville
This morning a local guide will lead you on a tour of Andalusia’s most vibrant city to experience the sounds and sights of the radiant park of Maria Luisa, the mosaic walls of the Plaza de Espana, and the world’s largest Gothic cathedral at Seville Cathedral. Take in a typical Santa Cruz barrio, then enjoy the afternoon at leisure.

Day 3: Seville - Granada
After breakfast, depart for Granada, and visit the incredible Alhambra on arrival. Wander among the beautiful Nazari Palaces and monuments of the Generalife, and discover the best expression of Islamic art in Spain. The former palace and harem of the Moorish rulers contains sections that date back to the 9th century. An optional visit to the Sacromonte caves is available, as well as the chance to attend a typical flamenco show. Check in to the 4-star Meliá Granada Hotel for your overnight stay.

Day 4: Granada - Valencia
Depart Granada after breakfast and travel through the northern foothills of the Sierra Nevada. Admire views of the beautiful towns of Guadix, Baza, and Puerto Lumbreras en route to the Mediterranean resort of Valencia. Day 5: Valencia - Barcelona
Explore one of the liveliest cities in Spain, with free time at leisure to discover Valencia’s mix of old and new. Go to the futuristic City of Arts and Sciences to see the dramatic buildings of Santiago Calatrava, or wander the historic streets of the Old Town. Depart for Barcelona mid-morning, and drive up the coast of the Balearic Sea. Check in to the 4-star NH Constanza Hotel on arrival.

Day 6: Barcelona
After breakfast, enjoy a morning sightseeing tour of Barcelona’s historic neighborhoods. Go to Montjuic Park to visit the Olympic stadium, and enjoy panoramic views of the city below. Take in the monument to Christopher Columbus in the old port, and stroll the narrow streets of the Gothic Quarter. The afternoon is free to explore at leisure. Visit some of the Gaudi buildings of L’Eixample, such as the unfinished Sagrada Familia, or the ornate apartments of Passeig de Gracia. An optional night tour will take you down some of the city’s wide avenues to see fountains and monuments floodlit for the evening.

Day 7: Barcelona - Zaragoza - Madrid
Leave Barcelona, and drive throught the diverse Aragon landscape en route to Zaragoza. Enjoy some free time to explore sights such as the cathedral and Aljaferia Palace at your own pace, and discover an extraordinary mix of Islamic, Romanesque and Gothic architecture. Continue to Madrid for the end of your tour services.
