Your experience begins with a journey to the Somiedo Natural Park, one of the best-preserved natural areas in northern Spain. From Alto de la Farrapona, you will reach the Somiedo Lakes, where you can enjoy the surroundings of Lago de la Cueva and visit the Mirador de la Cueva, which is set in a landscape of glacial origin with panoramic views of the mountains. During your free time, you can walk around at your own pace and enjoy one of the most iconic corners of the Cantabrian Mountains.
The tour continues to Pola de Somiedo, the capital of the municipality, where you will take a short orientation tour and have some free time to soak up the local atmosphere and enjoy Asturian cuisine.
In the afternoon, the tour will head to the municipality of Proaza, home to the well-known Senda del Oso (Bear Trail). In this natural setting, your guide will explain the importance of the Cantabrian brown bear and its recovery in the area. The tour ends at the bear enclosure, where it is possible to observe some bears living in semi-wild conditions.
Throughout the day, the guide will accompany you on the bus journeys, providing information about the landscape, wildlife, and local culture, helping you to better understand each place you visit.
